Domain Ownership Framework(s)

Strategic architectural leadership across core enterprise domains, ensuring cohesive design, governance, and business alignment.

Domain Ownership & Governance

  • Map current-state architecture for each domain and define clear boundaries.
  • Establish integration contracts (API specs, events, shared data entities).
  • Create an architecture review board to govern domain-level standards.
  • Maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) for all major choices.
  • Build a business capability map linking systems to outcomes and OKRs.

Strategy & Roadmap Development

Technical Stewardship

  • Define reference architectures for critical processes (billing, claims, rebates).
  • Standardize APIs and harmonize data models across domains.
  • Mitigate cross-domain dependencies through proper system decoupling.
  • Implement observability frameworks — metrics, tracing, logging.
  • Ensure CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and DevSecOps best practices.

AI & Analytics Enablement

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Conduct quarterly architecture reviews with domain and product leads.
  • Align priorities with PMO and business portfolio management.
  • Mentor solution architects and tech leads within each domain.
  • Communicate architecture direction using visual models and metrics.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise principles — interoperability, security, reuse.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Monitor KPIs for efficiency, scalability, and system resilience.
  • Run technical innovation cycles and PoCs for emerging technologies.
  • Benchmark domain maturity against TOGAF or SAFe standards.
  • Keep architecture playbooks and blueprints up to date.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and architecture documentation in Confluence.
